World Food India - 2024

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries launched the first edition of World Food India in 2017 to introduce the world to India's rich food culture and promote investments in the country's diverse food processing sector. The third edition of World Food India 2024, held from September 19th to 22nd, 2024, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, aimed to celebrate 2023 as the International Year of Millets and bring together the global food processing industry.

FIFI actively participated in the Global Food Regulator's Summit 2024 (GFRS 2024), held alongside World Food India 2024 from September 20th to 21st, 2024. This was the second edition of the GFRS summit, following its inaugural event in 2023 as a co-branded event of the G20 Summit. The summit provided a unique platform for food regulators from various nations to exchange information on food product regulatory and safety requirements, fostering cooperation between nations in the realm of food safety standards.

FIFI's participation in the GFRS 2024 showcased their commitment to promoting food safety and quality standards. By engaging with global food regulators, FIFI contributed to the development of harmonized food safety standards and practices, which will benefit consumers worldwide. Additionally, FIFI's presence at the summit helped to strengthen India's position as a global leader in the food industry."
