The Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, has recognized the potential of the food processing sector to transform India into a global food powerhouse. To achieve this goal, the ministry has implemented various initiatives to attract investments in key areas of the food processing value chain, including backward linkages, food processing equipment, research and development, cold chain storage, startups, logistics, and retail.
FIFI collaborated with VA Exhibitions to participate in the first edition of World Food India in 2017. By securing 126 square meters of exhibition space, FIFI helped to showcase India's rich food culture and promote investments in the country's diverse food processing sector.
Building on the success of the first edition, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries is organizing the second edition of World Food India 2023 from November 3rd to 5th, 2023, in New Delhi. This event will celebrate 2023 as the International Year of Millets and bring together global food processing industry leaders to explore new opportunities and drive innovation.
